Black Sea
The Black Sea is located in South - Eastern Romania and Europe, having an area of 413,488 sq. km. and an average depth of 1282 m, while the maximum depth is of 2245 m. The banks of the Black Sea have a total length of 4047 km, and a multitude of aspects. For the Romanian seaside, whose length does not exceed 245 km, in the North are the specific low banks, but to the South, there are the high cliffs of 35-40 m. At the base of those cliffs, a sandy and very sunny beach stretches. The calcareous sand from the beach favors spa treatment specific to the sea – the thalassotherapy. Among other natural wonders on the Romanian seaside, is Lake Techirghiol, former seashore nore, fixed in the land of Dobrodja, full of a miraculous mud, with a high therapeutic value.
Techirghiol Lake
This lake is well known for its miraculous, healing qualities of the sapropel mud and the salty water. The lake is former sea golf with sand bar, preventing water to enter, and because of the evaporation over the centuries, the water there is 8 times saltier than sea water. It is at the bottom of the lake where the famous mud forms, which is used in the clinics not only on this Coast, in Rheumatology and anti Rheumatic Care. Small Note on the Romanian Mineral Waters More than a third of the mineral waters of Europe are found in Romania. Simple mineral water, others very hot, many of these being radioactive. Since antiquity, some lakes accumulated in the craters of the old salt mines or resulting from the erosion or the collapsed parts of the mountains were known for their therapeutic effects.

The tourism development on the shores of the shores of the Black Sea in Romania, brings the current beneficiary to develop, with the help of a project manager and an architect, a tourism project called “Faleza Capul Turcului“, i.e. “Turk’s Head Cliff”, project meeting the requirements of a high quality tourism and also those concerning the protection of the environment and the stability of the cliff.

This tourist complex is state of villas with basements, apartment buildings with basements and commercial spaces, having terraces overlooking the sea, hotel - restaurants, healing Spas, landscaped gardening areas, medical complexes (for geriatrics, rheumatology, pediatrics, sports medicine, physiotherapy, medical recovery, cardiology, dermatology, nutrition, laboratory and pharmacy).

The constructions relating this tourism project is not subject to “harmonize” with the environment, as the existing buildings are evidence of modernity.

This tourism project is considered being beneficial, functional, aesthetic and a planner for the studied area.

The construction with terraces on the cliff gives a volumetric architectural overlook.

The site “Capul Turcului Faleza” overlooks the sea on three levels: 28 meters for the highest point, 11 m on average for the developed point and between 5 and 8 for the lowest point.

The land was drained for a lasting stabilization of the cliff.

The field was divided into five equal sections along its length, and each section has been stabilized by 3 drillings carried out at the highest level of each of the 3 drillings, as a total of 15 boreholes (a geotechnical study was performed on this subject and is available for consultation).

The hot spring has been officially granted to the company which holds the legal ownership of this site.

The concession was granted in 2005 for a term of 20 years.
The hot spring has been the subject of a 650 m drilling;

therefore there are 450 m of tubes. The room housing the water extraction system (located west coast of site) has been constructed of concrete slabs.

The temperature of the hot water extracted here is 29 degrees Celsius, while its extraction rate is 4, 6 liters per second. This water is a sulphur water.

The space between the two dams is unique in its kind: its lagoon - like appearance allows considering the implementation of a marina.

In this connection, the whole point associated with the East dam, which is much more advanced in the sea, is classified by the Office of Aerial Tourism as the most aesthetic "Romanian" area of the Black Sea.
